Police in Rushmoor have alerted all vehicle owners after a number of thefts and attempted thefts of cars over the past few days.
Officials have received a number of reports, including at Aldershot and Farnborough, reminding residents to be extra vigilant and ensure their vehicles are safe.
The force added that they “take these reports seriously” and are following any investigation.
On Friday, August 6, police were called on reports of two men and a woman attempting to break into cars on Tanner Street in Aldershot.
A set of car keys and cash were taken from the vehicles. Officials visited the scene and later arrested three people on Queen’s Avenue in Aldershot.
An 18-year-old man from Aldershot, a 32-year-old man from Farnborough and a 33-year-old woman from Aldershot were arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle.
They were all released as part of the investigation and the investigation is ongoing
Kirsten Troman, Rushmoor inspector, said: “Please keep reporting suspicious activity to us. Either to 999 if it happens now, 101 or via our online reporting tool.
“All reports help us to create an intelligence service picture, to use our resources in a targeted manner and ultimately to identify perpetrators.”
