Police were called on reports of a car accident in Radford in which a vehicle was badly damaged.
The force visited the scene of the accident, which occurred on Alfreton Road, shortly after Hartley Road, according to reports at 5:29 p.m.
Pictures from the crime scene show the extent of the incident and the cordoned off area.

The photo was taken at 5:35 p.m. by a local resident.
An eyewitness described the scene as “shocking”.
It is unclear whether there are victims in connection with the incident.
Nottinghamshire Police have advised people to avoid the area.
