I have just ordered a 220-volt charging cable for a level 2 electric vehicle and do not own an electric vehicle. However, my wife and I own a vacation home, and the in-house charger makes it easier to rent. I contend that the pro / con debate about electric vehicles has “jumped the shark” when people like me, who don’t even own an electric car, set up infrastructure to support them. They like them or hate them, but they are here to stay despite concerns over indigenous peoples’ mining in the Congo or the distraction of supposedly “fairer” multi-person vehicles such as buses and trains. If you hate electric vehicles, all you have to do is find something else to hate. Perhaps try oil and gas powered cars.
