Northumbria Police are asking for witnesses and dashcam footage to help investigate the accident that killed the driver.
At around 12:15 p.m. today, Saturday, July 17, officers received a report of a collision between two vehicles on the B1342, about four miles east of Belford, near the hamlet of Elwick.
Rescue workers were immediately dispatched to the location about ten kilometers north of Bamburgh.
Northumbria Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or recorded it on their dashcam.

A black Lexus CT was reported to be traveling east before colliding with a red Nissan Juke traveling in the opposite direction.
The Lexus CT occupants were not seriously injured, but the Juke driver was seriously injured in the incident.
The 73-year-old man was hospitalized but sadly passed away.
Specialized officers from the Motor Patrol Division of the Northumbria Police Department have announced that his family is currently offering them all possible assistance.
The investigation into the circumstances of the clash is ongoing, the police are now asking to report witnesses to the clash.
Inspector Pinner Rana said, “This collision occurred in a fairly rural area, but we know there were a number of cars on the road at the time.
“We need to speak to everyone who saw the collision and ask anyone who was nearby who has a dash cam to check their footage to see if they captured the incident.
“This is a devastating time for the family of the sadly lost man and we will continue to offer them all the support they need during this time.”
