The Grand Tour’s Richard Hammond was embarrassed after significantly delaying a wedding on A Massive Hunt.
The new special was released on Amazon Prime Video yesterday and Richard and his co-hosts Jeremy Clarkson and James May are looking for treasure in Madagascar.

Richard Hammond was left embarrassed on the Grand Tour: A Massive Hunt after postponing a wedding
The trio must ride one of the worst roads they have ever ridden in their modified cars, and Richard’s Ford Focus RS is battling the rocky path.
At some point, he collapses right outside a local wedding reception to get to the ceremony. The groom and his friends look at Richard less than impressed over time.
Richard, 50, spoke to The Sun Online about the shameful moment prior to the show’s release, saying, “There was a moment when I pestered some people on an important day as much as I’ll say.
“What we do is we exist in our own little bubble, that’s a fact. We tend to be with our team that we’ve worked with for 20 years and a bunch of machines that don’t go anywhere to travel the world we want them to and we live in our little bubble.

The wedding reception was not impressed that the road was blocked
“But it’s a bubble that also exists in the context of a world that is going on around us, and sometimes our little bubble disturbs other people’s, and that’s exactly what happened.”
As a result, the wedding reception will ultimately result in Richard’s car being physically moved out of the way so that they can eventually come over, hours behind schedule.
But despite the tense scenes, Richard said the locals were more forgiving than he’d thought.
He said, “It’s always amazing to see how generous and understanding people are, and again I really don’t want to give anything away, but they actually forgave the inconvenience in a way that I wouldn’t be.”

Richard’s problems got worse and worse as, although he managed to get the car running again, the clutch went further into the challenge.
Richard had to admit defeat and accept that the Ford wouldn’t get him to the end of the challenge.
He later said, “This was the first time we lost a car in one of our adventures.”
