An appeal was filed after a suspect stole a woman’s purse from her car while she was picking up a shopping cart.
It happened on Saturday around 1.30 p.m. at Aldi on Topcliffe Road in Thirsk.
North Yorkshire Police said a man attacked a woman’s vehicle in her seventies.

When she was about to return her trolley, the suspect stole her purse from the vehicle.
The suspect is described as a white man, in his late 40s, 1.80 m tall, with a “broad stature”.
He was dressed in black and also wore a baseball cap.
He may also have had a second husband to work with him.
The purse is described as a brown leather handbag and contained a black wallet that held approximately £ 60 in cash.
The purse also contained several sentimental items from the victim, including rosaries and photos.
A police spokesman said: “We are asking the population to help clarify the details of the incident.
“In particular, we want to target everyone who was parked in the parking lot at the time with dashcam footage.”
