An interactive map shows how many car crimes have been reported across Bracknell Forest.
City streets are revitalized as people start their Christmas shopping, visit friends’ homes and eat out after the Covid-19 pandemic.
But as more people venture outside again, people may want to avoid certain areas that are prone to auto crime.
A tool created by Co-op Insurance has revealed the number of vehicle crime in each area – and which streets it occurs most frequently.
Vehicle crime is a broad term, but it can encompass anything from vehicle theft, theft from a vehicle, and vandalism.

How does the tool work?
The interactive map uses data published by the Home Office for November 2021 to June 2021.
Users can find the crime rates in their area by entering a zip code or city in the search bar.
The results are shown in three colored circles: red means an area with six or more incidents, orange shows streets with three to five car crimes, and yellow means between zero and two incidents.

A rough look reveals that roughly most of the crime rates were reported in the city center, with 31 crime recorded in the last six months.
Six crimes occurred on the A329 London Road near Bracknell and Wokingham College.
Amen Corner also appears to be a hotspot for vehicle crime, with six recorded near John Nike Way.
Terrifyingly, 21 car crimes have been recorded in Birch Hill in the past 6 months.
Jameston saw six crimes and Hornby Avenue saw 2.
