A traffic accident involving three cars caused traffic chaos during the morning rush hour.
At around 8:40 a.m., police were called to an accident on the M62 eastbound between Junction 5, A5080 Roby Road (Huyton) and Junction 4 (The Rocket).
Traffic was temporarily interrupted at 9:05 a.m. while emergency services handled the incident.

Police blocked two lanes off three of the freeway, which also resulted in traffic jams on Edge Lane Drive as traffic left town.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area and find an alternative route.
The traffic officials reopened the lanes around 10.15 a.m. and the traffic jams began to ease around 10.45 a.m.
Pictures from the crime scene showed recovery and two police cars that had blocked the lanes.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police Department confirmed that no injuries have been reported.
They said, “We can confirm that this morning (Monday, Nov.
“Around 8:40 am it was reported that three cars collided on the highway. No injuries were reported.”
The police also thanked the drivers for their patience in dealing with the incident.
