TV crews and supercars head to Herefordshire to end the rally

A PARADE of supercars, from chrome-plated Lamborghinis to bespoke Ferraris, was spotted in Herefordshire over the weekend filming a new television program.

Camera crews were at the Royal Lodge in Ross-on-Wye on Sunday (April 11th) filming “Spotting London’s Supercars”, a new TV documentary for Sky, Freesat and Freeview.

The cars, worth millions of pounds together, were all on The Cannon Run, one of Europe’s leading driving vacation companies, which drove across the country.

The Cannon Run Spring Break rally took riders from London to Brighton and on to Weymouth, Somerset and Wales before ending in Hereford.

The Royal Lodge opened their car park for The Cannon Runners as this was the finish line of the rally.

The production was authorized by the government according to TV guidelines with strict health measures for the entire cast and crew.

The drivers were separated from members of the public after they were all tested for Covid and all had to give a negative result in order to participate in the trip.

Harry Rutter, Make UK TV Show Director, said: “The Royal Lodge was absolutely breathtaking, the sun was shining and it turned out to be the perfect location for the rally finish line.

“This was a Covid-safe shoot over three days and everyone involved tested negative for coronavirus.

“The group stayed bubbled in the air during filming and was asked to wear PPE in a public setting and to stay in groups of six while social distancing themselves.

“The local police were also on hand to make sure everything was up to the rules and everyone was safe just days before the coronavirus restrictions were further lifted.”

Spotting London’s supercars follows some of the country’s supercar paparazzi as they compete for the best shots of the exotic rides of the UK’s rich and famous.

The one-hour special program will be broadcast this summer on Sky Channel 365, Freesat Channel 516, Connected Freeview Channel 264 and online via Spotlight TV.
