Vadapalani Andavar Temple gets 44 new wedding halls

The Vadapalani Andavar Temple in the city will receive 44 new small wedding halls with a capacity of 50 people each.

“The temple receives requests to hold 30-40 weddings during a muhurtham, which is why we are planning such small halls for these families. In addition to the halls, changing rooms for the bride and groom and toilets will also be built, ”said PK Sekarbabu, Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Foundations, who recently visited the temple.

Interventions in front of the temple have been removed.

CM’s advice

Thirteen shops blocking the view of the Gopuram have been moved to the other side and, on the advice of Prime Minister MK Stalin, the flow of traffic in the busy area is being streamlined.

“Roads clog easily. We will study the flow of traffic and find a solution, ”he added.

The temple’s kumbhabishekam will be held on January 23, 2022. The raising of the flag for the performance of the pujas in this context will take place on January 13, 2022.

Mr. Sekarbabu said the previous Kumbhabishekam was in 2007. Temple consecrations should be performed once every 12 years.

The madapalli, in which prasadams (offerings to the deities) are prepared, have been renovated. The Dwajasthambam has been replaced, the temple floats, both golden and wooden, are being renovated, and a new Nandavanam (garden from which flowers are used for pujas). In addition, the devotees will have a new meditation hall near the samadhi of the scholar who built the temple.
