A resident had just woken up when she heard a loud bang in front of her house.
She said, “There was a bang, I think that was the first car that hit and then there was another bigger bang, so I think the car went in the window.”
Footage shows the driver reversing at high speed and hitting the first car before shooting forward in a circle and hitting two other vehicles before crashing into the house.
After the accident, a resident of a neighboring house removed both the driver and the passenger from the car because the vehicle was “smoking like crazy”. Another resident said the driver passed out from the airbags.
He said, “I think she was passed out. She was reversing at high speed. The airbags would have triggered immediately. “
Another added, “They put her in an ambulance about the airbags, but she is fine.”

While initial reports indicated no one was injured, it has now been confirmed that two people were in the care of the North West Ambulance Service.
After the crash, the entire street was evacuated due to a gas leak. But at 1 p.m., most of the residents were allowed to return to their properties.
Nomo Gurd, a resident of 37 Cadogan Street, ran into the street and, after calling emergency services, began asking people to leave their homes after she and other residents noticed the smell of gas.
She said, “We can smell the gas, but we cannot locate it. Now and then we sniff it. “
Another resident added, “There was a smell of gas and they checked but they say it was okay.”
Residents felt stressed and shaken after the event, but also expressed how brilliantly the community came together to help everyone else.
Nomo said: “Everyone helped each other immediately. I didn’t really know what to do other than give people something to drink. “
One resident whose car was damaged in the accident was not upset about the situation and described the evacuation as “really quick and organized” and said:
“She learned to drive, so maybe she got nervous.”

A spokesman for the Greater Manchester Fire Rescue Service said: “Firefighters carried out security checks and were working to make the place safe. Adjacent properties were evacuated as a precaution, as a gas leak was feared. GMFRS determined that there was no gas leak on the property.
“Two injured people were handed over to colleagues from NWAS. The fire brigade was on duty for an hour and 40 minutes.
