I’ve been engaged for a few weeks now and the wedding planning has already started. Everyone always says it is so fun planning a wedding and it will be the best experience ever. At this point in time, I can’t say I agree with that.
Gentlemen out there trying to propose soon, I want you to know that it is nowhere near cheap. If you are looking for your wedding venues, as soon as you say a place is a wedding, the price triples for you and it’s insane. I wish I had exaggerated.
Ladies, I’m not trying to stop your partner from making suggestions, but I’m just not sure if people know what they’re getting into after making a suggestion.
Okay, let’s clear things up a little. It probably isn’t always that way, but it feels like the venues are trying to win back all of the money that was likely lost during the global pandemic. These places are insanely expensive, even the small venues.
The pictures my fiancée and I saw of the on-site meal don’t look like a $ 170 meal. I understand there is an open bar at the venue but $ 170 per person is insane. For me at least, it’s very expensive.
I hope that once we find that perfect venue that won’t strain your arm or leg, everything will be happy and fun and not stressful. Because we were definitely stressed out after seeing prices over $ 50,000 for the venue alone. But don’t let that put you off. Really when you’re preparing to apply, it was a great feeling.
