A young woman was killed in an accident on a Glasgow street this morning.
Police have opened an investigation after the 26-year-old woman died at the Eglinton Street crime scene near Cook Street in the south of the city.
The crash occurred on Wednesday, October 6th, around 8:45 a.m.
Police were called in to a two-vehicle traffic accident in which one of the cars, a Toyota Yaris, left the street and hit the woman walking on the sidewalk.

Rescue workers rushed to the scene of the accident, but the lady could no longer be rescued.
The driver of the Toyota Yaris and the other vehicle involved were not injured.
A 35-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
The police are asking for clues after the terrible incident.
Sergeant Kenny Malaney, Greater Glasgow Road Policing Unit, said: “Our condolences go to the late lady’s family.
“The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
“Anyone with information, including relevant dash cam footage of the road at the time of the crash, can call the Greater Glasgow Road Policing Unit on 101.
