This is the devastating moment when a 4×4 vehicle is caught in the flood.
The driver was caught on a beach near Gwynedd in North Wales, despite allegedly having received “multiple” warnings of the risks.
The video footage filmed by a witness shows the driver trying to rescue the vehicle, which was later consumed by the water.

When the tide came in, the car got stuck on a sandbar, but that didn’t stop the driver from fleeing quickly.
Footage Ed Williams captured Thursday shows the driver turning the car in the direction of the waves to keep it from tipping over.

The driver then stops the car before driving it straight into the sea where it begins to swim.
The driver immediately jumps out of the vehicle, but then returns and appears to grab some of his belongings.
Mr. Williams, who owns a trailer on site in Morfa Bychan, said, “I have a small trailer park here in Morfa Bychan so I’ve seen quite a lot over the years.
“It’s more like this now because everyone is on vacation, I’ve never seen the beach so crowded, it’s crazy.
“He was offered help and advice before he decided to do it on his own initiative.

“He was actually in a place he shouldn’t have been.
“There are many signs warning people of soft sand, but some SUVs take the risk of it.
“It was a rebound point for the tide that was coming around you.
“Usually it is swimmers who get caught on this particular sandbar.
“He was told to move, but he left too late.
“Then he was advised to give it up, but he took it upon himself to try to come, but it didn’t work.
“The beach attendants do a great job considering how busy it is and they were the ones to advise the driver.”
When Mr Williams returned around 11 p.m., the car was almost completely submerged.
There were no reports of injuries.
