This is the terrible moment when a gang of men at an intersection rushes towards a car and smashes it with metal bars.
The incident occurred last Wednesday (September 22nd) on Manchester Road in Chadderton.
The footage of the attack was captured by a viewer and shared with the Manchester Evening News by the driver of the attacked car, who wishes to remain anonymous.
It appears to show a gang of at least five men running towards the car waiting at an intersection.

The men then appear to kick the windows of the car and start smashing them with metal bars.
When confronted by the occupants of the car, they then seem to flee from the crime scene.

Police confirmed they had been called to report an attack on Manchester Road.
They said they had since discovered a group of men attacked a car with metal bars and smashed the vehicle’s windows.
No one was seriously injured in the attack, they added, and the investigation is ongoing.
The officials are now appealing to anyone who has information to come forward.
In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: “Police received a report on September 22 of an attack on Manchester Road, Chadderton.
“Research has shown that a group of men swinging metal bars started hitting a vehicle and smashing the windows of the car.
“Thank goodness there were no serious injuries.
“The investigation is ongoing.”
