Pui Pui Molcar is a must see if you like stop motion animation, fluffy things, or just want to learn more about an alternate universe where cars are hamsters. Or the other way around. It’s as confusing as it is adorable.
A tie-in game Pui Pui Molcar let’s celebrate Molcar party!, announced for Switch in Japan and Asia, with a release date of December 16.
As the title suggests, the game is all about partying: Your Molcars (that’s the hamster vehicles) find a flyer promoting a place called “Moltown” that promises carrots galore (that’s what Hamster vehicles), only to let Molcars down and discover that it is, as Bandai Namco puts it, “a barren castle”.
With the power of celebration, the Molcars can restore the city to its former glory in the form of ten mini-games that can be played with up to four players. There are over 40 Molcars in the game, and you can feed them, pet them, and put on little hats just like a real car.
There are a few early purchase bonuses for the physical edition, as well as a collector’s edition that includes a plush toy.
Although the game is only available for Asia, there is an English language option.
