The A390 was blocked in both directions after a serious incident.
It is a car between the B3362 (Gulworthy) and the A386 Plymouth Road (Armada Roundabout, Tavistock).
The road has been closed since about 5:20 a.m.
The warning first came this morning (Friday October 8th) on the Inrix traffic monitoring site.
It said: “A390 closed in both directions due to serious accident, a car involved between B3362 (Gulworthy) and A386 Plymouth Road (Armada roundabout, Tavistock).
“Closed since this morning at around 5:20 am.”
The Devon and Cornwall Police have been contacted for further information.
Nothing is known about losses at the moment.
