Two people were seriously injured in Tile Hill this morning after a car fell on the roof.
Emergency services were called to Jardine Crescent at 3:47 a.m. to report that a car had collided with a lamp post and landed on the roof.
Firefighters had to rescue two people from the car, both of whom were seriously injured and were taken to Coventry and Warwickshire University Hospitals.

A Canley fire team, two ambulances, a paramedic and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Critical Care Car were on site.
The road was closed by West Midlands Police while the fire department carried out the rescue.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Upon arrival at the scene, crews discovered a car that had collided with a lamp post and lay on the roof.

“There were two male occupants in the vehicle, both of whom were seriously injured in the collision.
“After receiving specialized trauma care on the scene, both were taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire under emergency conditions.”
The police are investigating the cause of the clash.
