Northam Road in Bideford was closed for several hours

A cyclist was killed in a car crash in North Devon.
It happened on Friday, June 4th, on Northam Road in Bideford.
The road was closed for several hours while rescue workers were on site.
Witnesses or people with dashcam recordings of the collision are urged to report to the police.
“On Friday, June 4, 2021 at around 6:25 p.m., police participated in a report on an RTC involving a car and bicycle on Northam Road, Bideford, N.Devon.
“Unfortunately, the driver of the pedal bike was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime. The road was closed for several hours while a forensic investigation of the collision site was carried out.
“Roads Policing Team officials who were in attendance are asking for witnesses who may have seen the collision, either the vehicle or the cyclist prior to the collision, or having the dash cam to contact the police with the log number 783 of June 4, 2021. “
