Abandoning a car in a County Durham park has cost a woman more than £750 in court.
Roxanne Fountain, of Plantation Street, Leadgate, was accused of abandoning the vehicle under the Waste Disposal Act 1978.

It was left at Eden Park off Durham Road, Consett on or about 22 June 2021.
County Durham and Darlington Magistrates, sitting in Peterlee Tuesday this week, found the case proved in Fountain’s absence.
She was fined £440 and ordered to pay £280 court costs plus a £44 surcharge, bringing the total owed to £764.
