Banbury McDonald’s car park attack leaves victim in hospital

A victim was reportedly left needing hospital treatment after a three-on-one attack on a McDonald’s car park.

Police were called following an incident outside the Beaumont Road branch in Banbury at around 7pm on February 5.

Officers believe it was an unprovoked incident stemming from ‘road rage’.

They now hope any witnesses – particularly a delivery driver who is thought to have intervened – will come forward.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: “The assault, which left the victim requiring hospital treatment, is believed to have been unprovoked following a road rage incident involving three suspects.

“The suspects are described as Asian males in their early 20s, two were wearing all black tracksuits and one is said to have been wearing either a traditional Jubba or Thobe, they left the scene in a Black Volkswagen Passat.

“We believe there were a significant amount of people around McDonald’s at this time on the Saturday night who may have seen this incident or the suspects’ vehicle. We are particularly interested to speak to a delivery driver who was said to have intervened to stop the attack on the victim.”
