A 14-year-old boy is in hospital after he was hit by a car on the A38 in South Gloucestershire this evening (Monday, April 25).
The collision occurred on Gloucester Road in Whitfield shortly before 4pm. The teenager was crossing the road after getting off a bus when he was hit by a Land Rover Discovery.
The boy was rushed to hospital where his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: “The road remained closed while officers carried out an examination of the scene and reopened shortly after 8.30pm.
“If you witnessed the collision, or have any dashcam footage which could help the police investigation, please contact us.”
