A car believed to be involved in a “departure” was found by Farnworth police.
A PCSO discovered the car was parked on Rear Market Street and checks showed it had no taxes or insurance and was believed to be involved in a “departure” at Astley Bridge, police said.
A “drive off” is a term used for someone who fills their car with gasoline at a gas station and then drives off without paying – it is also known as “bilking”.
The vehicle was recovered after the discovery on Friday.
