A car went up in flames on Cam High Street this afternoon.
At 2:34 p.m., rescue workers were on site and the road was closed so that the fire brigade could put out the fire and rectify the incident.
No one was injured in the incident.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to Cam High Street at 2:34 pm to arrive at the location of a single burning vehicle.
“A Dursley machine was on site and two hose reels and two breathing apparatus were used to put out the fire.
“The vehicle was 100% damaged. The stop message came at 3:16 p.m. ”
An eyewitness said she and other passers-by helped block the road, and a bus also helped block the route before emergency services arrived.
