A car hit the roof on a main road into an Essex town.
The B1025 Colchester Road to Mersea Island is currently closed due to the overturned vehicle and recovery vehicles are currently attempting to clear the route.
The incident reportedly happened just after noon today (Saturday, December 25th).

There are also reports of an oil spill in the area which is now being remedied.
Traffic sensors indicate that vehicles are moving slowly as the incident approaches, and drivers can use East Mersea Road as an alternate route to and from the island until the incident is resolved.
It is not yet known whether anyone was injured.
