Car set on fire on Stoke-on-Trent estate

Police are looking for witnesses after a car was set on fire at a Stoke-on-Trent estate.

Fire fighters were called to garages on Bentilees Bitterne Place following reports of a fire.

The investigation revealed that the vehicle was deliberately set on fire.

The Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service dispatched crews from Hanley and Longton to the workshops around 9:55 p.m. on Monday, November 29.

A spokesman for the fire brigade said: “Two firefighters were able to extinguish the vehicle successfully at 10:25 p.m. with a breathing apparatus and a hose reel.

The police and fire brigade were called to Bitterne Place in Benitlee

“The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate. Staffordshire Police are investigating.”

It is another arson attack that involved a car in the area. In the same week as the fire at Bitterne Place, firefighters were also crawled to Arbourfield Drive in Berryhill at around 9:55 p.m. on December 1st. On this occasion a Peugeot 307 was set on fire.

Witnesses are wanted for both incidents. Anyone with information should call the police on 101.
