Child hit by car on city center street and taken to hospital

A child walking on a street in the city center was hit by a car and taken to a hospital.

Emergency services rushed on Wednesday (15.

When the emergency services arrived at the scene, they found that a child had been hit by a Citroen.

The child was hospitalized by the Northwest Ambulance Service. The severity of the child’s injuries has not been confirmed.

The driver of the Citroen involved in the accident stopped and assisted the Merseyside Police in an investigation.

While police were working on the incident, Tithebarn Street at the intersection with Pall Mall and Leeds Streets was closed to traffic.

Tithebarn Street has been cordoned off by Merseyside Police in Liverpool city center.

Motorists were also advised to avoid the area.

A Merseyside Police Department spokesman said, “After a serious RTC this afternoon, Wednesday November 15th.

“At around 4:05 pm we were called to Tithebarn Street to report a collision between a Citroen and a pedestrian. The child was taken to the hospital for an examination. The driver stopped there.

“There is a road block on Tithebarn Street to Pall Mall and Leeds Street. Please avoid the area.

“If you’ve seen the collision, contact us at @MerPolCC or 101 with reference 639.”

According to eyewitnesses and traffic sensors, the cordon caused “heavy traffic” in the city center.

One person who was stuck on the street for a while said the traffic in the area was “an absolute nightmare” and “extremely congested”.

At 7 p.m. Tithebarn Street was opened to traffic again.
