The workers at a Coventry car wash were drunk when famous former boxer Chris Eubank called on their services.
Owner Eugen Tudose, who lives in Foleshill, jumped into action when a customer offered him double the price to clean his car on the same day.
Upon arriving at the hotel where Eubank had stayed, Tudose was confronted with a luxurious, if somewhat dingy, £370,000 Rolls Royce with the conspicuous license plate number ‘1 KO’.

Eugen, 27, hadn’t really recognized Eubank, the former WBO middleweight and super middleweight champion of the world, when the two met to discuss work.
But Eugen, aware the conspicuous license plate was unusual, went online and a quick Google search turned up stunning information about his latest client.
“I was very surprised when I found out about it,” admitted Eugen. “I didn’t know much about him as a boxer, but obviously he had a very nice car.

“Of all the businesses in the area, he named mine, which means I must have good reviews and quality service.
“I was very satisfied and I hope that I will get more recommendations because of it.”
Eugen says Eubank’s motor, one of several in his high-end fleet, is the fanciest he’s polished since launching his portable cleaning business – TDM Mobile Car Wash – last July.

Eubank, famous for his gigantic ’90s skirmish with Nigel Benn, is believed to have been in the area to take a break between business and pleasure.
And while Eugen was willing to treat the 55-year-old tailor like any other customer, certain ground rules were laid before the job continued on January 4.
“He opened the car and said he wanted to do the interior,” explains Eugen, who moved to the UK from Romania six years ago.

“And he asked what products I use so I don’t scratch the car.
“I told him I cleaned all my equipment before every job and he was happy with it.
“I think it’s the most expensive car I’ve ever cleaned, so I made sure I was extra careful!”
