Police arrested a 36-year-old man this morning on suspicion of a number of criminal offenses following an incident in West Belfast.

In a statement tonight, Inspector Davy McBride said: “Just before 11am, a red Ford Focus car was reversed into the front gate of Woodbourne Police Station and caused minor damage.

“The vehicle took off first and local officials chased it at low speed onto Lenadoon Avenue, where it rammed a police vehicle twice before crashing into a wall and stalling.
