Drivers warned not to leave cars in these car parks

DRIVERS have been issued with an urgent alert not to park in these city center car parks.

Worcester City Council has issued a warning as floodwaters rise in Worcester city centre.

It expects Cattlemarket, Croft Road, Newport Street and Tybridge Street car parks to flood.

Flood waters have already spilled onto Pitchcroft car park.

***ALERT*** These car parks are expected to flood: Cattlemarket, Croft Rd, Newport St & Tybridge St. Pitchcroft has already flooded.
Please do not leave your car in any of these car parks overnight.

The council said: “Please do not leave your car in any of these car parks overnight.

“Use St Martin’s Gate multi-storey or another car park away from the river.”

The River Severn is expected to peak on Wednesday as a flood alert is placed on the city and towns along the river.
