Electric cars will come together in Kalamazoo to promote the benefits of plug-in vehicles

KALAMAZOO, MI – Drivers and electric vehicle enthusiasts of the area will be showcasing their cars for the public Saturday in Kalamazoo.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Midtown Fresh Market will welcome a variety of battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle models in its parking lot on Saturday, September 25th. Including the brand new Ford Mustang Mach-E, the vehicles will be available for inspection and driving.

The event is free and open to anyone interested in learning how electric vehicles save money while benefiting the climate. The Show and Tell event is presented by the Kalamazoo Vehicle Association and the Southwest Michigan Chapter of the Electric Auto Association.

The date chosen by the organizers coincides with the national Drive Electric Week from 25.09. 3, which aims to raise awareness of the benefits of plug-in vehicles.

Electric vehicle owners will answer questions and share their real-world experience with electric vehicles. Consumers Energy representatives will be there to showcase their electric vehicle charging programs.

Plug In America, the Sierra Club, EVHybridNoire, and the Electric Auto Association are national organizers.
