Electric Vehicle Policy Benchmarking – A Survey by Fleet News

A new Fleet News survey gives fleets the opportunity to compare their electric vehicle guidelines with those of their peers.

The “Transition to Electric” survey in collaboration with BP asks fleet decision-makers a number of questions on the following topics:

  • their current electric vehicles, including the number of vehicles in the fleet and on order
  • Funding policy
  • the catalyst for change
  • Charging point infrastructure
  • big challenges and how quickly they will switch to EV for cars and vans.

The quick multiple choice survey should take no longer than 5 minutes and gives Fleet News and the fleet sector a valuable overview of the most important challenges for electric vehicles in the years to come.

Late last year, a Fleet News poll of more than 600 fleet decision-makers found that the government’s proposed ban on the sale of new gasoline and diesel cars and vans from 2030 was largely dissatisfied. It found that less than a third (29%) agreed with the implementation date for cars.

One in five fleets (21%) would have preferred the ban on cars being introduced from 2035, with a similar number (22%) suggesting a start date of 2040 – the date originally chosen by the government.

How the fleet sector is converting to electric vehicles

Take our quick survey to show Fleet News how quickly and smoothly the fleet sector is transitioning.

The results and analysis will be published in a two-part feature in the May and June issues of Feet News.

Take the survey.
