Four people were hospitalized after two cars crashed at a key intersection in Thurmaston.

On Saturday (May 8), shortly after 7 p.m., emergency services were called to the scene on Barkbythorpe Road at the Asda roundabout.

One person had to be released by firefighters and was taken to Queen’s Medical Center in Nottingham by paramedics.

Three others were slightly injured and taken to the Royal Infirmary in Leicester.

The A607 was closed in both directions while the fire service made the vehicles safe.
