According to police, a man and woman in their thirties who were drivers and passengers of a red 2008 Peugeot were fatally injured in the accident on the A165 at the junction of Grindale Road on Friday.
The officers were called at 3:30 p.m. to report on a collision between the Peugeot and a black Mercedes GLA.
A child traveling in a Peugeot was hospitalized with minor injuries.
A Humberside Police spokesman said: “The families of the deceased have been assisted by specially trained officers, and our deepest condolences go to them at this extremely sad time.”
The driver and sole occupant of the Mercedes suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized for treatment. The police described her condition as serious.
“We appeal to everyone who saw the collision or one of the vehicles before the collision to call us on the number 101 stating the protocol 338 from May 7, 2021,” said the spokesman.
