A large machete has been discovered in the door pocket of a car driven by a motorist found to be disqualified and uninsured.
Greater Manchester Police based in Moston, to the north-east of the city, tweeted at 11.44pm yesterday (Thursday) that the driver of the Renault vehicle had been arrested.
It said: “This vehicle was stopped by #XT74, @Gmpmoston. Driver found to be disqualified and uninsured. Further checks revealed a large machete in the drivers door pocket.
“Driver #arrested, vehicle seized #165 and another dangerous weapon taken off the streets! @DriveInsured.”
