There are long delays on the M1 this afternoon after an accident involving several vehicles.
Two lanes have been closed on the M1 southbound between Tibshelf Services and J28 on the A38 for Alfreton and Mansfield.
It comes after reports of an accident involving a truck and car pulling a trailer on Tuesday afternoon, August 10th.
Emergency services, including Derbyshire Police, are believed to be on site.
Motorway cameras facing south on the M1 show that there are long lines in front of the scene of the incident.
Traffic maps show that there are currently miles of traffic jams back towards J29.
The Inrix traffic monitoring system reports that the caravan is currently on its side and that the journey time is 20 minutes longer than normal.
It is not yet known whether someone was injured.
Highways England tweeted: “The M1 going south from Tibshelf Services (Tibshelf) to J28 (A38 Mansfield / Matlock), three lanes were closed due to a collision. Traffic officials, Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit and salvage are on their way to the area. “
