There are miles of queues on the M25 today (Saturday, April 9) after a crash involving a car and a lorry. The incident is affecting traffic on the M25 clockwise in Essex.
Traffic is heavy between J29 A127 Southend Arterial Road (Romford/Basildon) to J30 A282 (Lakeside/Purfleet). It’s after an earlier incident, and it’s understood the car involved has now caught fire.
All traffic is being temporarily held as a result. Drivers haven’t moved since around 11am.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area if they can. If possible, drivers should find an alternative route.
It’s not yet known if there are any injuries. Essex Police have been contacted for comment.
