The A11 has been closed, causing significant disruption when traveling in Cambridgeshire as well as across the borders to Suffolk and Essex.
The A11 from the junction with the A14 at Newmarket to the A1307 junction with Abington has been blocked south by police because a car crashed into a tree.
The driver of the vehicle should have left the lane and “came to rest in the surrounding trees”.
A picture shared by the street police showed that fire brigades and other rescue workers were also on site.
Traffic on the A14 is impaired and the entrance to the A1307 has also been blocked by the police.
Cambridgeshire Police, Fire & Rescue and Ambulance Services are on site and Highways England Traffic Officers are on the road to assist with traffic management.
