A collision between a car and a motorcycle has blocked part of the M1 in Leicestershire.
The southbound motorway is currently closed due to the accident that occurred between junction 23a for East Midlands Airport and junction 23 for Loughborough.
Traffic website Inrix reports that traffic in the area has stopped as it has been held to allow rescue workers to get to the scene of the accident and conduct rescue and recovery operations.
Leicestershire Police are warning motorists to expect delays.
