There are long queues on the A46 this afternoon after a car catches fire.
The incident occurred on the northeast side of the road near Thurcaston north of Leicester.
Initially, one lane was closed to traffic, which led to long traffic jams on the approach. The decision was later made to completely block the road in one direction from the intersection of Anstey and Beaumont Leys.
