Man charged after four-car crash on Scots road leaves motorcyclist seriously injured

A man has been charged after a four-car smash on a Scots road that left a motorcyclist seriously injured in hospital.

Emergency services were scrambled to the collision on Skene Road in Aberdeen at around 1.50pm on Friday, February 11.

The crash, involving three cars and a motorbike, brought traffic to a halt in the area.

Skene Road was shut down in both directions as cops attended the scene, reports Aberdeen Live.

A 51-year-old man, the driver of the motorbike, was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

No one else was injured but one man has been charged in connection with a road traffic offense.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers received report of a four-vehicle crash, involving three cars and a motorbike, on Skene Road in Aberdeen around 1.50pm on Friday, 11 February, 2022.

“The 51-year-old male driver of the motorbike was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

“No one else was injured. A man has been charged in connection with a road traffic offense and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.

“The road was re-opened around 4.25pm.”
