Man found dead at the wheel in Asda parking lot when police descend on supermarket

A man was found dead in an Asda parking lot, which sparked a major police reaction in Birmingham.

The tragedy was reported around 6 p.m. tonight, West Midlands Police said.

Seven ambulances, two fire engines and a large number of police cars were brought to the parking lot outside Asda Queslett in Great Barr, Birmingham. Live reports.

Officers were called by a member of the public who spotted the man who looked like he was passed out.

A police statement said: “Police and paramedics were called into the parking lot in Asda Queslett at 6pm today after concerns about a man who appeared unconscious in a vehicle.

“It quickly became clear that nothing could be done to save the man. His death is not considered suspect.”
