Man suffers serious injury after car rolls down embankment in Uttoxeter

A man has suffered serious leg injuries after his car rolled down an embankment and hit a tree.

Officers from Uttoxeter neighborhood policing unit attended the scene at the junction of the B5030 Ashbourne Road and Stramshall Road, in Uttoxeter this morning (Sunday, February 20).

Also in attendance were firefighters from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics from East Midlands Ambulance Service.

One vehicle was reported to have left the road, rolled down the embankment and crashed into a tree.

The male driver required specialist recovery in order to be safely freed from the wreckage and has serious leg injuries as a result of the collision, a spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said.

The road is now clear and open with the investigation ongoing, Staffordshire Police have said.
