MAGISTRATES have given a man a suspended prison sentence after he was caught driving in a McDonald’s car park without insurance and while banned from holding a licence.
At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Daniel Kelly, aged 36, of Mill Hill, Little Hulton, pleaded guilty to committing the offenses when he drove a Honda Accord at the Ellesmere Retail Park, Walkden on May 31 last yearand also admitted assaulting a police officer by spitting at him.
He was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months and must undertake 150 hours of unpaid work.
In addition Kelly must participate in rehabilitation activities, pay £100 in compensation plus £213 in costs and charges.
He was banned from applying for a driving license for 12 months.
