Murlough Beach traffic “heavy” as PSNI handles the three car crash

Police are currently present in a three vehicle accident in Co Down.

Motorists in the area are advised to avoid Dundrum Road as the traffic is “very heavy” after the collision.

The road has since been closed by PSNI officials and detours are in place.

A PSNI spokesman said the incident occurred near the entrance to Murlough Beach.

They added, “Please look for alternative routes for your trip.”

A Northern Irish man has now died in the United States who sustained catastrophic injuries when he fell from a scaffold while working in the United States.

Sean Hughes, 27, fought for his life following the Philadelphia incident on December 11, 2020 and has been in the hospital ever since.

The father of one moved from Armagh over five years ago to make a living in America.

A GoFundMe site designed to help fly his family to the US has raised over £ 27,000 but the young carpenter sadly failed to make it.

An obituary said that Sean of Allistrgh “died peacefully in the Philadelphia hospital” on Saturday, June 12, and that his funeral will be announced later.
