And while fans are waiting for the official word from Rockstar Games on GTA 6, a reliable leaker has taken the floor.
Tom Henderson is known for his Call of Duty and Battlefield leaks, and the leaker recently spoke about GTA 6.
Henderson responded to a tweet discussing when Rockstar Games might announce GTA 6.
And added to the discussion that Henderson wrote, “Yes, I agree. I think we’re 18 months away from a GTA 6 announcement.”

If Henderson’s prediction is correct, it means that we might not get a new version of GTA 6 until the second half of 2022.
Considering that GTA 5 was first released in 2013, it’s a long time span between the news of the follow-up.
However, there is reason to believe that we may not receive any news about GTA 6 for some time.
Rockstar Games has planned a release of Grand Theft Auto – and that is the release of the next generation versions of GTA 5.
The expanded editions of Grand Theft Auto 5 are expected to be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X in the second half of 2021.
We don’t have a confirmed release date for this new version of GTA 5 yet, but it’s unlikely that Rockstar would want to release anything on GTA 6 before this expanded version of GTA 5.
While fans are waiting for specific information about GTA 6, there have been a lot of rumors about the next main game of Grand Theft Auto.

It has been claimed that GTA 6 will be set in Vice City along with a new location in South America, that it will have a plot influenced by the Netflix hit Narcos and that it will be discontinued in two time frames.
One of the most noticeable alleged leaks was the claim that Sony paid big bucks to secure the rights to time GTA 6 exclusively for the PS5.
The interesting thing about this leak, which occurred back in 2018, was that it correctly predicted other details about the PS5 that Sony had not yet revealed.
This could make the claims about GTA 6 and time exclusivity for the PS5 more believable.
As with all rumors, it is best to take this information with a big splash of salt until official confirmation.
One thing is for sure, however, given that Rockstar has consistently released bonafide instant classics that push the boundaries of what we expect from every generation and game, the wait for GTA 6 will certainly be worth it.
