Emergency services were scrambled to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a car in Manchester. The collision took place in Great Ancoats Street, between Chapeltown Street and Store Street, at about 6.20 p.m.
A pedestrian is believed to have been hit by a car and was later taken away in an ambulance, the Manchester Evening News understands. It is not yet known whether anybody was seriously injured.

Four police vehicles attended the scene, which saw Great Ancoats Street partially blocked. The lane has since reopened. The MEN have contacted Greater Manchester Police for more information.
