A pensioner died yesterday after a horror crash in Orkney.
The 87-year-old man was tragically killed in the accident when his black smart car collided with a blue Audi S3 on Junction Road in Kirkwall at around 3:55 p.m. yesterday.
He was the only one in the car while the male Audi driver was uninjured.

Officers from the Highland and Islands Road Policing Unit are currently in Dingwall, Orkney, investigating the incident.
Sergeant David Miller said, “Our thoughts go with the man’s family and friends and everyone else who is affected by this incident.
“We are working to determine the full circumstances that led to this crash and I would like to urge anyone who may be able to move forward.
“We’d also like to speak to anyone who has dashcam footage of the area at the time of the crash on Wednesday afternoon.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101 and cite Incident 2294, May 19th.”
