The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Police Unit (BCH) prevented a police pursuit last night (December 10th) after using preventive tactics to stop a stolen vehicle at the Black Cat Roundabout in Bedfordshire.
Five vehicles of the troop were involved in the action, the driver was wedged in by the collective tactics.
However, he was still trying to break away from the cordon before being stopped. Turns out he was a wanted man with a recall.
Police later tweeted, “The stolen vehicle has stopped using preventive tactics. The driver tried to break out, but a pursuit was safely prevented. The man also wanted to be called back to prison. “
Preventive tactics are used to prevent a persecution. If preventive or preventive measures are clearly proportionate to the available knowledge, their use is preferable to tracking another vehicle.
