RAPID action by experienced police drivers prevented a chase on the M5 near Worcester when a “cloned” car believed to be stolen was jailed as part of a tactical maneuver.

Footage shared by the Worcestershire Operations Patrol Unit shows the car being forced onto the hard shoulder near Worcester to prevent the situation from escalating.

A spokesman said on Twitter: “The Central Motorway Police Group discovered this cloned stolen vehicle on the M5 near J4. We used TPAC tactics between J7 and J8 to prevent chase
the West Midlands Police (area of operation). ”
The driver was also wanted for other criminal offenses.
